We have acquired yet another addition to the pack!! A few weeks ago Marc took the lads out to the beach ( brave boy!!) and while they were running wild, a little puppy ran up to join in, he was really cute and seemed very friendly and in nice condition rtart from being a bit dirty. Marc looked for his owner but there was no one else around and the puppy followed them back to the car after about an hour on the beach.
The only other person there was a lady with her own dog who said she had seen the puppy there the day before and he had been on his own. So, ever the soft touch, Marc loaded him into the car with the rest of the mob and brought him home. he must have been starving because he ran stright into the kitchen and ate everything in the other dogs bowls, every morsel!! Then he had some doggy treats and a bowl of tea and some biccies and fell asleep instantly on the rug.
We all fell for him immediately, he is just adorable, friendly, cute and obviously house trained so we put adverts in the local newpapers and vets surgeries and newsagents. we were all trying not to get too attached to him in case his owner turned up and two days ago a man rang us to say he thought it was his dog. We took our puppy round and the man said yes it was his dog, he called him over and Alfie recognised his name and ran to his owner but then he ran staright back and sat between Su and I. When we tried to leave he whimpered and barked in a tiny little puppydog voice.
